I Was Called To Teach and Harvest......

Hey dad!

I hope that all is going well with you. I dont think that you have ever told me that you were proud of me more than you have for that past few years. There is very few things better than that. We had a baptism this weekend and one of our investigators went to 2 or 3 sessions of conference! He is solid anyways and will be baptized I love missionary work. the best thing is the knowledge that we receive. That is the only thing that we can take with us after this life. mom says that you are going all pioneer? I think that is super smart. I have a feeling that the luxuries that we have now will only continue for a matter of a few years before we are back to captivity and wars. haha it is gonna be some good times. have you started to make butter yet? I heard that you are making cheese too? i bet you are loving that. But ya all is well doing here. I am learning how not to raise children. Some people do not believe in discipline. I am thankful that you beat us when we needed it. The kids here rule over their parents because they get away with everything. I want to hit the kids for the parents sometimes but of course I don’t.  Thank you for all of the support dad. I love you dad! have a great week!

hey momma!! Conference was super good. i am really excited because they hit on missionary work in almost every single talk. you can tell where the prophet and apostles focus is right now. being obedient, being worthy and being a missionary at all times. man i love when conference comes!! it was so crazy that i got to see Hayden and the family! we were supposed to be on the other side but for some reason they moved us, then started to herd us like stupid sheep, they kept telling me to get up and move because I was in sombody elses spot, than they told me to to go sit by Jace, haha so i had no complaints from there. I tried to play it off like I didnt know them but you can imagine how well that went. :) There really is nothing like seeing the prophet. it is an undeniable feeling. I am so excited to go out and work and be able to use the prophet and the apostles voice as we request help from the members. people are to fast to pray for the missionaries to find people but I wasn’t called to find,  I was called to teach and harvest. I hope that people will finally start to understand that. We can do nothing as missionaries unless the members love the lord enough to invite their family and friends to meet with the chosen trusted servants of the lord :) Hey thank you so much for all that you do for me momma! you will always be my mother. and yes i think that i have gotten a little taller? I stood up to a wall and with my shoes on I was 6 foot 2 1/2 I hope that I get a little taller. Hayden makes me feel short :) We will see. i love you momma!!! have a great week! remember that you are a daughter of god and he loves you :) what can be better than that :)

Never Take That For Granted......

Hey dad,  I have learned to love leadership positions because than i get to be hands on with other missionaries and help them to become who the lord needs them to become. Its super cool to recieve revelation for others that you are over too. I wish that i would have listened to you better than i did because i know that you were receiving revelation for me. You can only learn from your mistakes right? man it looks like you got a nice new set up, i might need to come and show the boat how to catch fish :) What you should do is get a 3 or 4 inch lift on the truck and throw some 35 inch tires on it and then we can gut the muffler and make it sound like it is gonna eat the cars around it :) actually what is it? like is it a gas or a diesel and what size engine? i think i am gonna look for a 2005 dodge with the cummins deisel engine in it when i get home, those are some sweet trucks. I am praying for you, hopefully you arent working to hard and your back isnt giving out yet, we still have all kinds of crazy things to do together when i get back, we need to get a big old wolf in one of our traps. anyways dad i love you, your one of the biggest blessing in my life. my comp is super jealous of you and the stories that i have with you because his dad ran out on them when he was 7. So i really do appreciate all that you did for us. I will never take that for granted, thanks dad. have a great week!

I Do Have a Strong Testimony....

provide. We should have 2 people getting baptized this week, we are

just gonna have to be bold with them. they will be baptized soon! can

you believe how long it has been since I saw the family last? Time

goes by so fast. anyways dad all is well here. I am growing

spiritually and becoming what the lord wants me to be. I love being

on the mission. we met 2 guys that are super anti against the church

and one got us in his house, and as we destroyed him with the bible he

refused to accept that the spirit and the church are true. it was a

great experience for me because i learned that I do have a strong

testimony. anyways i love you dad have a great week and get some rest.

I Just Like To Remember The Good Times....

Hey momma!! thanks for the letter. Man so much has happened since i have been serving, but that is how the world should work. ya so speaking of the humbling experiences that happen on the mission, it is weird, but i have a hard time remembering the bad things that have happened to me out here. I just like to remember the good times. I cant wait to see Hayden again, well all of you guys, but i want to see him. Missions are amazing because you find who our Heavenly Father wants you to become. So we had 2 men baptized this weekend! that is always great but i would rather have them get to the temple. they need the covenants made their. Anyways I better go again, sorry the letters are short, as i learn more about the gospel, i will continue to write you cool things. I love you momma! have a great week.

That was legit....

·         hey momma!! I am so glad that you enjoyed the ukeleli song, haha we sing that all the time, elder brown taught me the strum and that beat, but i know how to play over the rainbow, im yours, banana pancakes and and a few other random beats, i love the uke. haha it is legit and people go nuts when we play it. I will play and sing for you when i get home I also taught myself a song on the piano that i made up, haha I am growing to love playing music. it really does bring the spirit, Elder brown and i get along really well, we teach each other so much and work like beasts together. if anyone askes you about the church again ask them to read ephesians 2:19-20. than tell them if we doesnt have apostles and prophets, than we dont have a church, and if we dont have a church than we dont have jesus christ. Because jesus christ has a church and he has a prophet and that is thomas s monson. That will give them a nice big slap in the face, god is the same yesterday today and forever and he would cease to be god if he stopped calling prophets, we are not too good today to live without a prophet, he is essential to all things :) I hit somebody in the face with that scripture last week, It isnt good to argue with people about it, but we have to warn people of their sins, because you are right, they will be held accountable for all that they say bad about christs church and we will stand as the witness against them if they do not repent. I love you momma! have a great week and keep doing what you do.

I Have Never Been More Happy....

Hey dad!

It sucks that the weather is bad there. it has been kinda cold here. i finally gave in and put on one of my sweaters that mom gave me. haha it was still sleeveless but it did the trick. it hit like -3 and everybody was freaking out :) Then when I told them that it will get to -30 at our house they wouldn’t believe me :) they don’t know what cold really is. all is well here. just grinding away. we keep running into brick walls but I honestly like that. It helps me to grow. I really do love this work! there is nothing better. we were told last night before we gave a lady a blessing that we are the best missionaries that they have ever had,  it helps us to keep pressing forward when we want to give up. have a great week!

Hey momma!!!

    you asked me how i feel about my time here? mom I have never been more happy about anything in my life than I am right now about the last year that I have served my lord and master! I have absolutely no regrets about anything that I have done and I am having the time of my life! You’re absolutely right though, being a leader is great but it is not always fun. haha I just laugh at everything. The worst things become funny :) I really do love getting mail and packages, anyways I better get going, thanks momma!! I love you!

I Really Do Love It.....

Hey dad!! There is no snow down here either, there hasnt been for the last few christmases so im not getting my hopes up. Leadership is really a lot different than i thought. haha But I really do love it. Like i said last week we have to go through downs to have the ups, haha this week will be one of those ups. it will fullfill my prophecy. My friends are getting sealed in the salt lake temple on thursday and we have a girl getting baptized on saturday! She was a refferal from our yw president and they all thought she was a member because she always comes to church, so we met her and asked if she is a member and she said no but i want to be baptized. haha that was on friday and 8 days later she will be a member  :) man i love this work. Some of the most spiritual lesson i have had have been with her. She is legit!! Peace form Elder Cache Summers
