Be the One that is Giving Selflessly....

Hey there!! the trip sounded amazing!! but where is the picture of you
my sweet mother? I have been telling everybody i meat about you and
how amazing you are :) there are families that want to meet you and
dad because they say that i am so polite that my mom must be amazing!!
haha you are amazing mom!! But yes i have rode my bike, the seat
bruised me so ill have to
ride it more to get it in better shape but other than that the bike is
amazing! I rolled my ankle super bad playing the gay sport of soccer
but i am recovering well, I was taught very well how to deal with that
so im good, the icy hot was a life saver, it happened saturday and we
fasted sunday so i couldnt even take a pain pill! that was fun but ya
all is well here, joe is gonna be a great missionary, im glad you are
still letting him in, i wish i could see the dirty bugger, haha that wouldHey there old man! so i have been wondering what kinda funky fish you
got with the spear gun but by the sounds of it i must still be the
only one man enough to actually spear a fish? haha jk but how did that
go? I wanna spear fish agan so bad! that was some of the most fun i
have had. Man i am gonna miss fishing with you this year, your gonna
be prettty lonely without someone outfishing you every day. thanks for
taking me so much, some of my best memories happened standing there on
that little boat fishing with my dad. I cant wait to do that again in
2014, its gonna be the best! this week has beena hard week in a couple
different ways, we had a lot of lessons bail on us last minute so our
numbers are terible, i think we found the problem and it will be fixed
soon, there are political caucuses on tuesday and thursday and that is
why they all dropped out on us, I found a few new families to teach,
my main project right now is a man who has been in and out of prison
for the last 20 years, tatooed from head to toe but i will change this
mans life and get him baptized, that is my big goal for the next
month.
the new mission opens on july 1 so whatever area i am in at that tim
will be the mission i am in. we have a tranfer in 2 weeks and i think
i will stay here till i am trained, than ill probably be training a
new missionary? there will be a lot of changes soon, 86 of us
missonaries will be reasigned to the new misson and we will know if we
are or not on our transfer on june 27. so just a few days before the
mission opens. so all of us have no clue and i am super excited about
it, i sill think that i will be in the new mission. my dream ever
since i was little was to open a new mission. the lord works in funny
ways to give his rightouse children what they want so we will have to
see.here are some quotes that i heard and wrote down this week that i
wanted to share with you and the family.

stands. when i was in dillingham i stood alone and walked 3 miles on
sunday alone to go to church. i stood alone and was judged for it by
man, but i was blessed by my heavenly father. stand alone when its
time and stand alone with pride.

this reminded me of our home, haha thats all i have to say about that
-when you realize that someone in your relationships are giving to you
selflessly, your relationship with them strengthens.-
be the one that is giving selflessly and you will be blessed and
change lives. i love you guys! keep one living in harmony with jesus
christ and be the example to others that you guys are to me, love you

we wanted to do it, so we went to practice and got it the FIRST TRY!!
no joke, but than when the camera came out it took us like 8 tries to
get that one so perfect! haha arent we the best? ok well i love you guys!!

Cook Me Like a Bird.....

i have cooked clam chouder and cup of noodles and mac and cheese :)
haha ya awesome huh? i am going to get fruit and meet today and eat
better, our land lords are the best and we get to use all of
there supplies for cooking. read dads email and do what i aske dhim
to. o and i told him to get a book of morman and read it highlighting
all the times it refers to jesus. how has he been doing, he should be
reading 7 pages a day and he will be done in 12 weeks, please do this
as a family and make fischer do it, it will bless your lives more than
you know!! i wanna here back how yuo are doing!! love you guys!! Have

Hey dad!! Wow you guys are out of alaska?? ! I am melting! its been 60 and sunny and
i am tan and sweating. the summer heat is gonna cook me like a bird
and im gonna be a mexican with the tan i will get. So we have a recent
convert named nate and his wife natalie. i love them!! they are 20 and
19 and have a little baby. they werent married and living together and
nate felt that he needed to join the church, but he couldnt unless he
was married. so they got married and he was baptized feb 18, so i
missed it but they are awesome! natalie was in the ER saturday with a
ruptured overian syst and another half the size of a golf ball. So the
fluids are threatening her life and she is in a lot of pain, so i went
over saturday night and i had the oppurtunity of giving her a
blessing. so we gave here the blessing and left their house. so
yesterday in church she walked up to me with tears in her eyes and
said, "thank you so much elder summers, after you left i went to bed
with no pain and today i feel better than i ever have. elder summers
your blessing worked." There is no better feeling in the world than to
use the priesthood power on sombody and see a miracle happen because
of faith!! I will keep you updated on the medical oppinions about
there but wow. I have grown so much this week. the video that i
sent is of me and elder hall in the mtc. were amazing, what did you
think of it? i hope your having fun in the ocean, send me pics. You
guys are great, keep doing the right thing and keep using your
priesthood dad, dont take it for granted cuz it is truly the power of
the lord that we have running through our bodies, its truly amazing.

It's all for the Lord.....and it's Worth IT....

Thanks momma!! i got to tell the family that we ate with yesterday
that i have the best mom in the world!!! never forget that mom! i am
settled in good, and the people here are so amazing to us! its ball
firing hot though, it was like 58 yesterday!? i thought i was gonna
die!! hey go look at the church news! they are splitting our mission
into 2 missions!!! salt lake city south and salt lake central. I need
to know where mindy lives so i can make sure to find here and dunk her
in the water. but ya everything is fine, i slapped the brit in the
face with my amazingness and knowledge and now he respects me!i love
you guys and miss you a lot!!! peace!!
Hey dad and family!! please keep feeding and helping out the
missionaries and home. I am being taken care of so much because you
are so good to the missionsnaries whenever you see them. it makes a
huge differance in mine and haydens lives when you go out of your way
to feed the missionaries. i have paid for one meal the entire time i
have been here and i know that that is because of you. Thank you dad!!
the best thing that you can do for missionaries is give them people to
teach. the only reason that this mission is so successful is because
everybody in the ward always give us people to teach!! all the ward councils
and meetings here
are getting people active and giving us people to teach. the most
important part of missionary work is fellowshiping people!! and that
all comes from people in the ward. if they get out and make new
friends, the ward will have to split beacuse there wont be enough room
for people. how great will that day be? They have us doing a 12 week
challange and that is reading the BOM in 12 weeks, but we are supposed
to highlight every referance there is to jesus christ. and than write
it on the back cover of the book, so messiah, lord, lord god, just
everytime in mentions his name. i am in 2 nephi chapter 15 and there
is not one page that doesnt have atleast 15 highlights. the BOM is
truly another testimate of jesus christ. Ask the missionaries for a
BOM and try it either as a family or by yourself. all it is is 7 pages
a day. and i promise if you do this, your testimony will grow, and
after 2 weeks you wont wanna put the book down!! the BOM has such a
different meaning when you do it this way. you will get so much more
out of it! the temperature here is hot and i am going to melt in the
summer. but its all for the lord and its worth it. I love you
guys!! and i wanna here from fischer gosh dangit!! i am punching him
threw the computer. that kid needs to write me! i got the box and loved
it, my favorite was the anti monkey-butt
powder! i will use that someday! But ya all is well, we are being
successful. there is no greater joy than watching someone go through
the conversion proccess, seeing the blessings in their lives, and
watching their testimonty grow! fischer if you can get a friend to
take the missionary lessons, you can baptize them because you are a
priest. be smart and do everything as if the lord was watching you.
because he is. make us all proud in everything that you do bro, your a
leader and people look up to you. Be the great example that you were
born to be. love you guys!!! thanks! peace from the land of the

But Now You Will Always Remember Me...

Hey dad and family!! I am in the draper mountain point stake and i cover 10 wards. good news is that i had my first baptism on saturday so i already have some stats on the papers. im not in it for the numbers, but i have set a goal of a number of people baptized and i am already on track to achieve that. if im obedient and rightous and work hard i will achieve my goal. The peole that are here are so nice, the work is going great! we have a few really strong investigators that are ready to get baptized so we just are waiting it out till they attend church 3 times before we can actually baptize them. Ask the missionaries in out ward when they invite sonmeone the be baptized? in this mission we state our purpose for being here and commit them to baptism in the fist 5 minutes we meet them. if you do it right with the spirit than they will say yes everytime! i got my bike and it is legit! i havent got to ride it yet cuz my comp is a lazy pants, or how he says it, "trousers" which is not only wrong but completely wrong! :) haha and yes dad i smacked him down for touching my stuff. thats not ok. ummmm o ya he is 6 foot, like 120 and skinny as skinny. he said he was gonna play pranks on me, so i told him that i would brake him in half like a tooth pick and so he called all of his pranks off :) But ya i am here and good! Elder senethip is not in my zone and i have no idea how he is doing. thanks for writing him please continue, i think that he is still iffy about it. i miss the snow, o i have an adress of a guy in a ward that knows the football coach for byu football, he said if you send him a highlight film he will walk it down there and hand it to him personally. so if that ever happens that would be awesome. thanks for everything that you do. sorry about the mess that i left you, but now you will always remember me :) tell fischer that he is cool now that he is 16 but he will always be mine and haydens little grr! haha jk i love you bro! I have learned a lot and am continuing to learn i love you guys!!

Hey momma!! i love you too! my comp is another freakin brit so im going crazzy!! everybody here loves me! I am serving in the draper mountain point stake and we had a baptism 3 days into my mission!! so i have a baptism already. i didnt baptize him but i got to help give him the holy ghost!! i love the people down here because they are so nice!! i havent gained any weight, i am 220 and determined to hold strong. there is a lot of work down here. i have 10 wards so its a little crazy but nothin i cant handle! i love you guys!!love you momma!!! your the best!!

Feeling the Spirit Takes alot Out of Your Body....

Hey Family!! first thing is first, i dunked the basketball 3 times easy yesterday! the air is thinner here and i think thats why i can all of a sudden jump higher. the mtc is an awesome place! i have learned so much. the spirit guides missionaries in everything that we do! as i have been here i have been able to reflect on all of the blessings that i have recieved, and wow i have gotten a lot of blessings, i think the biggest reason is because of how close we are as a family and we are that way because of the church! Invite people to everything!! by not inviting people to do things like go to church, we are taking away their agency to even chose, so invite sombody to church every week! hey one other thing, the temples are amazing places, the lord really does walk the halls in the temple and i would go every single day if i could. the life of a missionary is very tiring. feeling the spirit takes a lot of energy out of your body. just like how moses got the commandments and is said that he aged 40 years!!? wow!! if you go to bed and you still have energy that you didnt work as hard as you should have that day. the lord never gives us more than we can handle. lood up 1 nephi 3 :7 i think is where nephi says i will go and do the thing the lord commands....? look it up because that is what life is all about, that scripture is up there on my favorites, if thats not the one than find it. I love you guys!! anyway i just ran out of time, i love you guys! your all that i have and i am glad for the support. but dont write me this week. find out elvis's info and write him!!! not me! he is thinking of going home because he has no support. so please help him stay, you can bless many lives through him if you write to him! this is serious so please do that. if you have time to write me at all use it on him. he needs it more than anyone. i love you guys and thank you for helping. that is very important. MTC Is Amazing.....

hey dad!! mtc is amazing!! i can get dear elder everyday but can only email family, i need more pictures of you guys, but printed out already cuz we cant print them here, can you send some big fish pics scenery and more of me and you guys, maybe even me on my machine? that would be helpful. I am the senior comp. and i am the zone leader! thats right im basically the man. i joined choir and they broadcast it like conference but only to the mtc, and they zoomed in so that is was only my face so im pretty much a movie star around here right now!! the food is good, really good, but i havent lost or gained weight elder senthip aka elvis is hanging in there we are roomates and were tight. he hasnt gotten any mail so if you can try to tell someone or something he needs it. my companions name is elder hall. he is from yorkshire england, the accent is killing me i want to punch him in the face when he talks cuz i cant understand a dang word he says, but we get along great and we teach together even better. tell fish happy birthday, he is still fat. i wrote him a letter today but it wont get there for a while. please use dear elder, we only have 30 min to email. we are kept on a very short leash. the spirit here is so amazing! i did my laundry all alone today. i got amazing cup cakes from somebody and it didnt say who sent it it just said we miss you alreadry? anyway tell everybody hi. share this with mom and tell her that i love her and i am so thankful for her and she is perfect and amazing and i miss her. love you guys! please send snow here cuz its way to hot!! love you guys. pday is wednesday for me right now, i think that i leave the mtc feb 22? so 2 weeks? love you guys! talk to you next wednesday! i love you mom!!
